Popular walking places in Lancashire are also only an hour away. It’s quick and easy to get here – we are close to the M6, most trains on the West Coast Mainline stop at Oxenholme (Lake District) and Manchester and Liverpool airports are about 1.5 hours away.

A Real Spicy Number!
Sweet Potato, Red Lentil & Chick Pea Curry Serves 3-4 people Ingredients Spices ½ tea spoon ground ginger ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds 1 teaspoon cumin powder 2 teaspoon curry powder Main ingredients Tomato paste x 2 table spoons Salted butter x 125g 1 x diced brown onion 2 x sweet potatoes (diced thumb size) Chopped tomatoes 2 x small tins Lentils x 120g Chick peas x 1 small tin Veg stock ½ pint Fresh coriander x 1 small bunch Method Sweat down the onions, butter, fenugreek seeds & sweet potato until lightly caramelised Add the lentils & cook for a further 2 minutes Add the tomato paste & spices. Cook out for 3-4 minutes Add the chopped tomatoes & vegetable stock. Simmer until the sauce has thickened Add the chick peas Season with lemon juice, salt, pepper & a pinch of sugar Finish with chopped coriander
